Το κυριότερο μειονέκτημα που αυτές οι μέθοδοι έχουν είναι ότι πραγματοποιούνται κατά τη διάρκεια της εγρήγορσης και προσφέρουν άρα κυρίως στατική παρά δυναμική αξιολόγηση του ανώτερου αεραγωγού (π.χ. χειρισμός Müller, πλάγια κεφαλομετρική ακτινογραφία, αξονική και μαγνητική τομογραφία ανώτερων αεραγωγών).
Bio: I am an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgeon specialized in sleep medicine with a clinical practice based in Athens, Greece. After finishing Otolaryngology residency in Greece, I completed fellowships at Saint Lucas Andreas Hospital, Amsterdam; Johns Hopkins Medicine, Baltimore; and Weill Cornell Medicine. I have dedicated the last 15 years to developing a deeper understanding of the pathophysiology of sleep disorders as well as mastering state-of-the art treatments for patient care. My research, including randomized trials on device treatments for sleep disorders, has been widely cited in leading international medical journals.
